The economic crisis in the news is actually, underneath it
all, a crisis of TRUST, not a crisis of money.

Money is just the symptom.

Right now, banks do not even trust each other. That’s why
boats full of perfectly good cargo are stopped cold in
Singapore even though there are eager buyers and sellers
on both sides of the ocean.

The chasm of distrust between sales people and marketers
has never been deeper. People have buy generic viagra such a strong expectation
of sales people lying to them, they don’t even think twice about
lying back to the sales people.

(Don’t you hate it when customers lie to you - and feel no
remorse - just because you’re a sales person? Isn’t it
just degrading?)

I believe that the marketers who do well in the next year or two
will be those who earn (and genuinely deserve!) the trust of
their customers. I am already seeing this clearly in the marketplace.

Those who see the earning of trust as merely the application of
a technique or two will find themselves sliding downward,

Is it Socialized Commercialism or Commercial Socialism

Maybe it’s Commercial Communism … I’m not sure what the right label is for this growing phenomenon both in and outside the H0me Biz industry; however, as all entrepreneurs know, it only works for those who are “more equal” than “the other pigs” (sic. Animal Farm). 

Come on you must remember reading the book “Animal Farm in high school, right? You know the book about socialism and communism cast in the setting of animals on a farm that take over. The “Pigs” are the leaders … and some pigs “ARE more equal than others”. Which means that what socialism and communism have ALWAYS been about is 2 sets of rules … rules for the masses, and separate rules for the very few, the elite, the leaders … the “pigs”. I can still remember this book well from high school and I see many of the principles highlighted in that book developing all around us these days. yes, even in home based business/ Home Based Free Enterprise. All of these “Systems” out there that are really about system deceit. In fact if you do the research you find more and more Racketeering lawsuits popping up attacking the high price point programs. 

Why? Primarily because the high price point programs where you have to spend over $1,000 for the entry product and up to $25,000 for the top end “over priced event” products. These companies have nearly 100% annual attrition as the only pre-requisite for signing up and the $25,000 price point is that you have the money. And when you read this lawsuit you will clearly see what the nature of organized, home business racketeering really is and how it is executed. 

When you have a “System” or process that engages in systemic deception with a high pressure high ticket price point, it’s a recipe for damage, major damage for those who put up the money after falling for the pitch. I have personal experience in this type of company having been top earner in a couple, and I have been in “the room”, the inner circle where its “just get the money” and talking about people in terms of how much money you “banged em” for. 

When I came into the industry with a high price point business, I was naïve. I thought everyone would be able to duplicate. When that didn’t happen I created extensive support and training programs to help my customers. In each opportunity though, I was eventually banned, my training was eventually banned. In the final analysis I believe it was banned because it made the host company look like they were not doing enough for their customers (which is true). Somehow the “Truth” and these companies don’t go together. 

After 4 years, I finally get it. You cannot execute a Racket while the truth hovers nearby. In other words you can’t have your top earner teaching the truth to his/her customers as it invalidates the model for those that are not said top earner’s customers. I way, 1 voice, 1 message IS socialized or socialistic commercialism. It’s all about system deception as controlled by the host company. And in Every case where you find this, you will find pigs that are “more equal than others”. 

Sorry guys, it’s just the truth. It’s just true that there is 1 set of rules for the top earners and another set for everyone else, and then another set to by applied with situational integrity to anyone perceived as a threat, or anyone that is not “drinking the Kool Aid (cool aid)”. The bottom line is that no company, no government, and no network marketing opportunity is coming to your rescue. If you want success you will have to think and act as an Independent Entrepreneur, as opposed to a “quasi employee”.

Is it the END of the Beginning … Or the Beginning of a New Era?

A mere 90 days ago, I got the signal … that internal message that
said it was “GO” time. I’ll admit, that since my first 2 years in
the industry where I was Top Earner in my first company and netted
over 7 figures, the seed had been planted.

It was a simple Idea Really and ever since I have been in search of
a place that would be home for this idea. After a couple of
companies and 2 good years by industry standards, I finally was
faced with the Question …

Was there any company out there that would embrace a Top Down,
totally authentic marketing and support program. After 2 years of
searching, and spending time representing some good companies, I
still was unable to find a home for this idea.

There were many many people, most of them actually who I had met in
the industry who loved it, yet were not generating the results they
wanted. Thousands, even tens of thousands of dollars had been spent
by these people seeking the kind of results I have experienced.

Many companies simply said get used to it (the attrition); yet it
never sat well with me. I knew that it did not have to be that way.

Three months ago while I was still looking for the company to
represent and implement this concept, several of the people I spoke
with about the various companies told me it was more of the same.

So I asked a question … why don’t we start our own opp0rtunity?

Why don’t we actually create an opp0rtunity, a product line, and a
business that is totally and completely focused on what is most
important to all Entrepreneurs … Success as opposed to what
97% experience in the industry today …

Sure there were several offerings with “personal development themes”
yet I realized that there was more to the equation … much more.

Re-framing - 2009, The Year Our Tone Changed - By Rob Polonski

The past 3-6 months have taught us all a great many things.

The landscape of our country, our economy and our industry has
been altered. It has changed forever. The real question to be asked
is, will you change? This is perhaps the most significant year that
network marketing has witnessed. Are you prepared to do whatever it
takes to thrive?  If so, then it is time for you to change the
channel; your own channel. It is time for you to re-adjust the
settings on your screen. The mental framework for a better tomorrow
must begin now.

Ask yourself, why have people joined our industry over that last
ten years?  Oh, that’s easy! Let’s see: being able to
work-from-home, leaving the corporate rat race, not having to deal
with a boss, financial freedom, more time with your family, this
list can go on forever.  We are all every day people, hard working
people, we are all in search of the American dream. I have some bad
news for you (and you are not going to like it); we need to put
that dream on hold, at least momentarily.

In 2009 folks are not leaving corporate America, they are being
asked to leave. It is cold, it is brutal, and it is real. Today,
millions of people would not mind having a boss. Any work is hard
to come by. Today, financial freedom has taken a back door to
paying the rent, covering the mortgage payment, putting food on the
table, clothing the children.

You must  take these things into consideration when you call that
next prospect, when you formulate that next presentation, and when
you petition for that next sale.  What folks wanted yesterday is
not what they need today. More importantly, what you are selling is
not necessarily what someone is buying.  This is where connecting
with your prospective candidate is vital. In fact, it is imperative
or you will lose them, and quickly.

2009 will bring a surge of talented, qualified, experienced, and
knowledgeable people to network marketing. So far over two million
people have lost their jobs in the past 3-6 months and many
millions more will follow. Some will find new work. Others will sit
home and sulk. Many will simply fall off the grid and become
casualties of this recession. But a percentage of the rest will
look for immediate ways to generate income from home. And this is
where you come in.

As these displaced and pain filled professionals are left to
readjust to a new lifestyle, your job as the facilitator for their
better tomorrow must adjust in concert. A total re-framing of how
you run your business and prospect for new business partners must
take place in these new times.

Is Network Marketing, MLM, and Direct Sales Network Marketing Truly Free Enterprise?

In Network Marketing, we ARE dependent on others, even though it’s called “FREE Enterprise”. Just like a Ford car dealership is dependent on Ford making cars, so too in network marketing are you dependent on the performance of the opportunity provider.

And at the end of the day, you will either drink their Kool Aid, or be shunned from the gathering (read: thrown out).

Personally I have had enough of this particular deception; a great sign that change was coming. After having been “tagged out” by a couple of companies for doing what they in fact said I could and should do, pursue diversity and my dream, the reality of this industry sunk in. Network Marketing, MLM, and Direct Sales Network Marketing is NOT truly free enterprise.

You have to look no further than the D.R.A., Distributor’s Right’s Association to discover this reality, OR be an outside/away from the box thinker, create big results in a particular business, or be a visible leader in any opportunity to quickly discover that the current format of the industry is another form of employment.

READ THE FINE PRINT of any and all company compliance codes (except for 1 company), and you’ll see it in black and white. It a license for the company to practice situational integrity; and I have personally been effected by it more than once.

I used to think that I could deliver my unique and proven brand of service and support as part of another opportunity or opportunities. I was wrong. There are many reasons why, and if you want to understand them, go to this web site , read the free report, and you will know what to do, and you will discover some harsh truths.

The truth is sometimes tough to swallow. Really tough, yet, whether you like it or not,  it remains the truth regardless. And do the companies in question have a reason to execute this practice? The answer is yes, and ALWAYS FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Take EMAM, the company I just went through this with. I had been there since their pre-mature soft launch, and supported the company the whole way. I hosted dozens of calls for them and even vouched for a person I had never met, or even seen a picture of. Why? Because I had position, and I had built a down line, and was continuing to support them. And yes I was making money (why else would be in business anyway).

In fact, my down line duplicated like no other in the early “soft” launch days until it became apparent that the company was not ready. However, and in spite of continuous complaints, I still supported the company and owner, until I woke up one day to discover that my back office was locked out and my residual income stolen. That’s right, stolen. How else can you define the act of taking an income stream that I had put time and effort into building.

In that particular situation and company, I had heard since the beginning that you could be a member there, and be involved in other opportunities. I guess that rule applied to everyone but me. This was an openly egregious act of situational integrity, a practice common in the industry., and to be expected of anyone who has been in the industry for any length of time.

I wasn’t exactly pounding down the Kool Aid though, but I was doing more than 99.9% of the members there to help the company. It is a bad reflection of that particular opportunity, as well as the people involved, because the precedence has been set for such a young company that espouses to be in the business of helping people.

I have a different vision for the masses that are simply the cash flow enablers of a broken industry. Having experienced this lack of integrity, and the reality that in a moment, and without notice, a company can suddenly find you “out of compliance”, and then steal your hard work, I decided to do something about it.

Myself, and a group of other individuals who have all had less than desired experiences in the Network Marketing industry decided to create our own company, our own opportunity, where we can actually set the rules, and have them favor real integrity.

Our solution? Provide any affiliate or associate a specific way to retain their residual income, even if they are terminated from the company for violations of the rules. And more importantly, placing the decision and evaluation process in the hands of a peer review committee comprised of individuals, none of who can have any financial connection to the violator.

Home Business 2.0 is a program architected to be the perfect solution for everyone that wants to earn money in a true free enterprise environment, and yet care how they make their money. Our members all find it important that they don’t make their incomes while damaging others.

Waking Up From 3 years of Cool Aid Drinking

I admit it, when I got in the Direct Sales Network Marketing Industry, and experienced HUGE results, I was intoxicated by it. Surely if I could do it, so could everyone else, right? Right and Wrong!

Everyone who works like I do, has an extreme passion for learning and delivering value can, once you have acquired the skills. How long did it take me? 20 years, and tens of thousands of hours, hundreds of 100 hour work weeks to be more precise.

HUGE success is not easy, it’s not simple, and yet it is worth it, at least in my opinion. And yes, once you experience newfound heights of success, you will probably go through a period of being intoxicated by it. It’s a rush, especially when you have entered and dominated a new marketplace by being a game changer.

Regardless of the business, network marketing business, mlm business, or business opportunity you engage, success will be yours when you take the time to learn what is required to be successful. Are there shortcuts available? Absolutely, and here is what in my belief will be the shortcut to home business success for thousands of people.

My Revelation
After 2 years with Emerald Passport, and after being told to discontinue providing the level of support that I was providing because it made the company look bad, I decided to make a change. There were other reasons; however, I’m not going in to them here, and when you follow this blog over time, those reasons will become apparent to you. I was raised a Roman Catholic, and believe and practice to the day (and to the best of my ability) to NOT say bad things about others. If you can’t say something nice, say nothing at all.

In the case of a company and/or opportunity, it’s very existence is a shield to people, for the purposes of protecting them from the consequences of their actions. If you don’t understand this, do some research on the very nature of corporations, LLC’s, etc., paying particular attention to the protection of the owners language.

Back to my revelation. For 18 years before getting into the Network Marketing industry, I experienced some great success; by focusing on excellent customer service. Because of the constant and never ending pursuit of service excellence, my customer retention rate in any business I owned was no less than 80% and as much as 98% per year.

So when I realized in this industry that I was experiencing 80% customer ATTRITION it bothered me. My numbers were substantially better than the industry norms of 98% annual attrition; however, to me that meant that customers were not satisfied. Why weren’t they satisfied? It was and is real easy.

People sign up for home business opportunities for 1 reason only; and it is NOT the products and services by and large. Sure there are exceptions; however, when you look particularly at the high price point direct sales companies, show me a company where you are actually receiving value associated with the price. I mean come on, $1,300 - $2,000 for some CD’s, DVD’s, and or some courses? In every case you could find the same material for much less, and I mean ten cents on the dollar less than buying at those obscene prices.

To my amazement no company has got it right, at least no direct sales company. Sure, a few have some value; however, none of them provide anything worth the price for the money. And it only get’s far far worse as you start going up the product line and buying their event tickets.

Take a $9,000 personal development conference. You can attend the very best offered by companies like Peak Potentials for $2K - $3K for a 4 day event. Having been to event offered by Peak Potentials and several of the Direct Sales companies, I can say with certainty that no one in Direct sales delivers the value, even at the wholesale level, that Peak Potentials or Landmark does. Face it, a $9,000 and of course the $15,000 event ticket is a CASH GRAB.

And yes I’ve sold many of them. They are not CASH GRABS because of the price, they are CASH GRABS because of the lack of associated value. And really, when you start a new business, a $9,000 emotional enema, hype-ium, hope-ium, and dream-ium laced event is NOT what you require to make money. It’s totally a fantasy.

Here’s the funny part. For most of the last year, especially the last 8 month, I have been recovering from the cool aid fountain. I was booted out of the “club” because I was not “compliant”. Which simply means, I was no longer drinking their cool-aid, and propagating their bull shit.

After spending months looking for an opportunity I could get behind, and not finding one, I was left with a dilemma. I love the industry. I love the fact that dozens of people have learned at my feet and gone on to be top earners and leaders in their companies. I love the idea of working from home and making a 6 or 7 figure income.

I also know that with the current opportunities in the marketplace, I would be creating a lot of damage by ramping another one to a 7 figure income.

So what am I doing about it? There are those that probably wish I would go back to corporate America. Sorry that’s not going to happen.

A “Cool Aid” Drinker Report …

“OMG the email blasted at me. How could you so frivolously use a term that historically associated with such a dark day in history to describe the nonsense dribble being spouted by so many network marketing companies.” This woman CLEARLY had been drinking too much (company ommitted) blue cool aid as she was so sure that she would “one day” make money if she just believed enough. I asked her what was stopping her from believing enough right now to which she replied that she didn’t have enough money to market effectively because she had spent so much on buying event tickets (at $9K a pop). 

So she believed enough to borrow money against her house but not enough to sell the idea of doing the same thing to someone else. What a shame I thought. She was definitely drunk on the blue cool aid alright.  I had tried to help her, but she was belligerent. That cool aid can be pretty strong stuff. She believed that the only reason she wasn’t succeeding was because she did not have enough $$$ to buy the $15,000 ticket. Jim Jones would have been proud for sure. But then again, this lady is drinking cool aid laced with (DIRECT SALES COMPANY of YOUR Choice)’s non-sense. 

Having drank that cool aid my self for a while (albeit while it was a bit weaker), I can see why so many people end up damaged in the high price point direct sales industry. It’s your fault that you can’t market. It’s you fault that you aren’t taking enough personal responsibility, and it’s your fault that you aren’t drinking enough cool aid.  A classic case of a process draped in BS, hype-ium, hope-ium, and dream-ium gone wild. What to do some of the really sleazy people in home business do?

When I got started in the home business industry, in the high price point model (LIO) Emerald Passport, I assumed people were decent and honest and conducted business as I was accustomed to with Fortune 500 America.
Was I in for a rude Awakening.

First let me make this perfectly clear, most of the people in Home Business are first class, and do operate their businesses with integrity. It’s the primary reason they struggle too (more on this in another article) Read the Home Business 2.0 FREE Report.

For the first 4 months I was in EPI, I was flying under the radar. No one knew who I was, and I was quietly building a serious business. By my 4rth month in fact, I made 38 Phase 1 sales ($1,000 a pop commission), placing me first globally in the global competition.

After that, the secret was out. I must have received no less that 50 offers to get high positions in other companies … free, and many other NOT so cool offers.

It seemed that kickbacks was the mode of the day. Everyone wanted me to endorse their system, their leads, their whatever, and I would get a check for doing it.

I said no, and started my own lead co-opt, and start generating mass quantities of organic and PPC internet lead that I re-sold to my team at cost ()and showed them my Google bills so they could see what they really costs).

I didn’t expect people to trust me, I expected to EARN their trust; which I did for the most part through a tireless schedule of support and training in a program that came to be known Team Falcon.

We were kicking but, we had our own proprietary marketing movie, and calls, and everything. Times were good.
As they say, nothing really good lasts for every. After a while people expected that they would make money by proxy, like there would be just spill over from me into their bank accounts. That never happens, and it has nothing to do with me.
In January 2006 though I was approached by an associate that asked me to break one of my cardinal rules. He asked me to lie about his income. JT (AKA Jack) Stevens (AKA Kaiser SoAe on blogs) called me to tell me he had a 3 way coming and that he needed me to lie to his prospect and tell his prospect that he was making $10,000 a week or a month I don’t remember exactly.

I told Jack no because it was against my core principles, and then I also told Him that I could handle it for him on the 3 way. Jack grew very angry with me, claiming that I had lied to him before and promised to lie for him.
Either way I couldn’t recall making such a commitment, and I seriously doubt that I did because I learned something a long time ago in business.

When you tell lies, you have to remember all of the different versions of the lies you’ve told and that gets way out of had very fast.

Besides, my first associates knew that I had not made a dime yet, and that in fact their sales were the first dollars I was going to make, and they knew it. So I didn’t understand it the need to lie to someone about your income.

I mean after all, every body starts somewhere. So how did I answer the question when asked … I answered it very simply … ” at the rate my business is building I will be making over $20K a month within a month or 2 and I am certain that will happened because I’ve sold millions of dollars in products before. And THEN I set the hook. You see at this point in time I had taken the time to learn how to generate my own le3ads, so I had something else to sell that proved to by like flypaper in the summer”.

So what did the JT Stevenson of New Hampshire  (AKA JACK, AKA Kaiser Soze) go out a do? He went and blogged me on every blog he could find telling everyone how rotten a guy I was, and he even threatened me through the AKA Kaiser Soze).
So if you find a post about me initiated around February 12-13, 2006, it is this JT Stevenson guy. I know he is still in the industry, in fact the last I heard he was selling iBUzz. Great system, but I would be very weary of doing business with a guy like that.
I have had others go out there and make false claims on blogs about me who later came back an issued written apologies, which I do appreciate.
And to this JT Stevenson Guy, and the other “Old Old Pro” (Berly Morton in Wisconsin), what you have demonstrated is the exact reason why people are repelled by you. Get your energy right and you will start attracting customers. You don’t need to lie to anyone. Just do what I did for both of you (and thousands of others), I over-delivered service.
